The Council, RETE’s highest deliberative and decision-making body, is made up of its Members gathered in assembly. Its main functions include electing a President and the rest of the members of the Governing Board; approving the report and accounts for each financial year, as well as the programme of activities and the budget for the coming year; ratification of new admissions, approval of new Advanced Nodes, etc.
The meetings that the RETE council holds annually, in addition to charting the course of the Association, are essential events in the corporate life of the organisation. A platform for dialogue and cohesion between its members, these “Conferences”, though the seminars held as part of their programme, also offer the opportunity to explore and reflect from a scientific perspective on the themes and issues or concern to port cities.
