THE XXIst CENTURY PORT CITY

THE PORT CITY OF THE XXIst CENTURY. NEW CHALLENGUES IN THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PORT AND CITY

This work is fundamental to understanding the contemporary port city, forming an integral part of the relationship between the port and the city.

It is an analysis of the dynamics that have marked the recent evolution of this unique global urban typology and the precesses and challenges faced in this new century.

It is an interdisciplinary look at the multifaceted reality of port cities, result of the collective work of over thirty experts from Europe, The United States, Latin America and Japan.
